On September 3rd, 2018, 8-year-old Akinya’s wish came true. 1 dollhouse with 2 dolls was her heartfelt wish and indeed a fitting wish for a little girl. When we arrived at her home that evening, we were immediately reminded of what these simple wishes mean to our wish children as we could see Akinya excitedly standing in her patio assessing each car that drove past her home hoping that it was the PTF Inc. Team. When we slowed down, she immediately knew it was us and ran inside to notify her dad. Our small wish group assembled in the parking lot and lifted the box containing her prized possession inside. We held our brief presentation as customary and then it was time for the unwrapping. This was a “hands-on” wish for all as we became barbie doll contractors and had so much fun assembling the dream house. Akinya, her dad and her brother all joined in and in the end, the true joy came from seeing Akinya’ s priceless smile. She was truly happy. Akinya extended her thanks to the Bilton Grange Prep School in London for her Dream House and 2 Barbies and to the PTF Inc. for making her special wish come true.
