My name is Blondel Hurley and I am a volunteer with Precious Touch Foundation Inc. My reason for joining the Foundation is to give back to the Barbadian community and I figured what better way than to help children and their families in their times of struggle. I am currently a medical student and I often see the looks of hopelessness and despair when children and their families receive unthinkable bad news. I believe that being a part of this organization will help me to shed some light and hope into these families' lives, uplift them and give them strength and courage to deal with the struggles that they are facing.

I see volunteering as an act of selflessness. I believe that time is precious and to give time to help others in need is time well spent. I would like to tell persons that this is a wonderful organization to be a part of and we are like a family with each member bearing a role to fulfill. We are supportive during times of weakness, and we inspire hope in times of despair, and give encouragement throughout a discouraging moment.
