I Wish To Have A Laptop Computer – Antoine Payne – 10 Years Old
On Friday September 9th 2016 Precious Touch Foundation Inc. in association with Chefette Restaurants Ltd. took the pleasure of granting the wish of Antoine Payne (10 years). Antoine’s wish of a Laptop Computer was presented at Chefette’s head office on Fontabelle in the presence of Chefette’s Advertising Manager, Mrs. Lisa Carter, Ms. Abiola Marshall (Antoine’s mum) and some directors and volunteers of the Precious Touch Foundation Inc. Antoine a jovial and charismatic young man was both excited and full of smiles on his special day, and he was pleasantly surprised by the additional items he receive from Chefette Restaurants Ltd., as seen in the attached photo with him and PTF Inc. president Ms. Adorial Maxwell Hazell.
I Wish To Go To Canada – Nahjae Haynes – 10 Years Old
On August 13th, 2016, Nahjae Haynes, accompanied by his parents Anthony and Natasha, as well as Precious Touch Foundation Inc. Vice President St Auban Callender, lifted off from Grantley Adams International Airport bound for Vancouver, Canada to meet his family members, some of whom he had never met. Nahjae and family were the guests of his cousin Nathaniel Brewster in West Vancouver. During his stay, Nahjae enjoyed the company of a number of extended family members who visited from locally and overseas especially to spend time with him. Some of the activities enjoyed during his stay included; Biking in Stanley Park – this is a coastal park specially geared to bikers and allows for bikers to stop at various areas to enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding areas. A day at the beach – an active time at Kits Beach. A visit to Play Land with all the exciting rides, games etc. Nahjae was having so much fun that his stay was extended by 6 days at the request of his parents, and he reluctantly departed Vancouver on August 26th, to arrive back home in Barbados on August 27th. On arrival at the Airport, Nahjae and his mum were met by members of the Foundation who welcomed them back home in fine style. When Nahjae was asked about his wish experience in Canada, he was reluctant to speak at first but then with a shy-looking smile remarked that he wanted to stay a bit longer as he was having so much fun with his family. Natasha thanked the Foundation for granting Nahjae’s wish and said that she also had a great time. Another precious wish granted, thanks to our very kind sponsors – Manulife Re.
I Wish To Have A PlayStation 4 – Vince Matthew -13 Years Old
On Sunday, August 7th, 2016, Vince Matthew from the neighboring island of Dominica got the wish he always wanted. Vince Matthew, whose wish was to have a PlayStation 4 Game Console with games, received his wish from a team of volunteers and directors of The Precious Touch Foundation Inc. On arrival on the children’s ward at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, the Precious Touch Foundation Inc. team was informed that Vince was being attended to by his medical physician, so the team waited with eager anticipation. Finally, after a 15-minute wait, Vince was out and beaming from ear to ear. Though a little bit shy, Vince was still cool, calm and collected as he sat patiently waiting for the surprise the Precious Touch Foundation had had to offer. Volunteer Andria Holder was given the honors on behalf of the team, and the wish was granted in the presence of Vince’s mother Anthea Canoville. Also present were Vice President St. Auban, Directors Henderson and Adrian and Volunteers Carol, Joan, Carolyn, and Damien. A special mention once more, to World Electronics who discounted the price of the PlayStation 4 Game Console.
I Wish to Have A PS4 With Games – Turaé Went-Barnett – 10 Years Old
They say a smile can light up a room. Well little Turaé Went-Barnett, 10 years of Gibbons Boggs, Christ Church made sure the room was well lit. On Sunday the 7th day of August 2016, The Precious Touch Foundation Inc. visited Turaé at his home where he was present with his mother Julie Went, father Adrian Barnett and little sister. On arrival, everyone congregated in the living room and a surprised expression was plastered all over Turaé’s face. At times we didn’t know if he was crying, laughing, smiling or serious. However, we knew he was speechless. The feeling was priceless. Director Henderson Rouse then questioned Turaé about the DVD player he wanted to which Turaé gave him the dreaded stare. (DVD Player) hahaha yeah yeah joked Turaé. But when Volunteer Carol Toppin invited Turaé to inspect the bag she was carrying, Turaé burst into an expression of excitement. It was truly a breathtaking moment. Sharing the excitement of this wish were Vice President St. Auban, Director Henderson and Volunteers Andria, Tara, Joan, and Damien. A special mention to World Electronics who again discounted the price of the PlayStation 4 console.
I Wish To Have A Laptop – Leche Pile 12 Years Old
A precious wish for a beautiful girl and a pleasant home visit surprise for us. On Sunday, April 24, 2016, Precious Touch Foundation Inc. and Xtreme Hikers Barbados joined together to make a wish come true. This wish request of a Laptop for 12-year-old Leche Pile was donated by the members of XHB. It seemed that while a very enthusiastic and excited wish-granting team congregated outside Leche’s home, her mother Allison Pile was busy putting the finishing touch on her moment of ‘surprise’ inside the house. Finally, we were welcomed into a home which was already set up and prepared for a family gathering and an ‘after wish’ party. Allison made certain that the day would indeed be the happiest for Leche, not only for the wish presentation but also for members of her family to celebrate Leche’s recovery following her lengthy stay in the hospital. As the presentation was made to Leche by Shurland Mayers (volunteer & XHB member) the room suddenly erupted in laughter and applause. It was quite an emotional experience as Leche and her mum carefully opened the box to reveal her Laptop. After this special occasion, we were all invited to join the entire family for the ‘after wish’ karaoke party. It was truly an evening that we at P.T.F. Inc. will always remember. Thanks to the Pile family for making our visit so enjoyable. Also special thanks to Mr. Karan Lilani (World Electronics ) for his kind support with this precious wish. Sadly Leche Pile passed away on October 9, 2017
I Wish To Have An Apple iPhone 6S – Kayla Hinkson – 15 Years Old
On Sunday, April 10, 2016, an attractive 15-year-old girl had her precious wish granted. Kayla Hinkson wished for an Apple iPhone 6S with specific instructions that it must be Rose Gold in color. Wow, what an exciting wish request. Thanks to the kind assistance of Digicel Barbados Limited who donated this special item to the Foundation for Kayla. When the Precious Touch Foundation Inc. team arrived at Kayla’s home to grant her wish, a very excited and nervous-looking young girl welcomed us while cuddling up close to her mum. As we entered we were met with the most beautiful smile which lit up the entire room. As Kayla anxiously waited, the presentation was deliberately delayed to entertain a brief moment of ‘trick jokes’ on her. This brought lots of laughter around the room. The presentation of an Apple iPhone 6S was then made to Kayla by volunteer Michelle Nurse. Enjoying this wonderful experience with Kayla and her mum Deborah were President Adorial, Vice-president St. Auban, Director Henderson and volunteers Marva, Randy, and Damien – our ‘in-house’ photographer. I Wish To Go To Disney World – Ajani Grazette – 4 Years Old
Precious Touch Foundation Inc. made certain that one little boy will always remember the best week of his life. Ajani Grazette (4 years) got his precious wish granted on March 26, 2016, when he, his mum Andrea Brathwaite and his brother Jariah along with representatives from the Foundation left Barbados for a one week visit to Orlando Florida. Ajani’s wish was to visit Disney World and this was made possible in fine style as he was accommodation and treated like royalty at Give Kids the World Village. Ajani’s mum said that he had an awesome time while experiencing the spectacular rides and wonders of Disney World, and she is sure that he will never forget this experience. Andrea expressed her gratitude to the Foundation for granting Ajani’s wish and also for the special ‘surprise’ as Ajani and his family were transported home in a limousine from Exquisite Limousine Services Inc. Another precious wish granted!
I Wish To Go To Disney World – Jalea Walrond – 8 Years Old
Jalea Walrond (8 years) always wished to go to Disney World, so when this golden opportunity was presented to her by Precious Touch Foundation Inc. and Manulife Re she was the happiest little girl in the world. On March 26, 2016 Jalea accompanied by her mum Trazanne Walrond and her brother Jalani along with representatives from the Foundation, left Barbados for a one week visit to Orlando Florida where she enjoyed all the magical wonders of Disney World. Jalea made certain that she experience all the wonderful thrills and fantasies from as many rides as she could, and participated in all the entertainment planned for her at Give Kids the World Village. When asked about her experience at Disney World after returning home, Jalea said “I really love it and I had lots of fun” Precious Touch Foundation Inc. extends sincere thanks and appreciation to the management and staff at Manulife Re for their kind support in making Jalea’s wish come true. Sadly Jalea Walrond passed away on the morning of April 5, 2017.
I Wish To Have An Apple Laptop – Kymani Rock – 12 Years Old
On Sunday, March 6, 2016, Precious Touch Foundation Inc. with the kind assistance of Chefette Restaurants Ltd. fulfilled a boy’s wish. Kymani Rock (12 years) wished for an Apple Laptop. When the Precious Touch Foundation Inc. team arrived for the presentation, Kymani was all dressed up and anxiously awaiting his Laptop. As the team entered the door, the smiles on his face lit up the entire area as if to say “Thank God, my Apple Laptop is finally here” This special occasion was shared by Kymani’s mum Mary Rock and his dad Kevin Lashley, along with members of the Foundation. Another precious wish come true.
I Wish To Have A Flat Screen TV – Kiara Jordan-Layne – 8 Years Old
On February 27, 2016 a very loving and excited little girl was pleasantly surprised when she was invited to World Electronics, Bridge Street Bridgetown to have her wish granted. Kiara Jordan-Layne (8 years) wished for a Flat Screen Television. With a kind donation from Mr. Karan Lilani, Managing Director – World Electronics, Kiara was able to experience the joy and happiness of having her wish fulfilled. Mr. Karan Lilani made the presentation to Kiara of a 32″ Flat Screen Television while her mum Alicia Jordan assisted with the careful handling of Kiara’s wish item. Enjoying this special moment were directors St. Auban Callender, Henderson Rouse and Adorial Maxwell-Hazell along with volunteer Carolyn Breedy. Precious Touch Foundation Inc. thanks Mr. Lilani for supporting the wonderful work of the Foundation and for making Kiara’s wish come true.
