Regina Ramjit Adopts Precious Touch Foundation Inc. As Her Charity
Precious Touch Foundation Inc. is very happy to partner with Regina Ramjit (Miss Barbados World 2013 delegate). Regina has adopted our Foundation as her charity for the upcoming Pageant and will be assisting with the granting of wishes to children diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions. She will also be promoting awareness to the wonderful work of the Foundation, as well as planning fundraising activities. Her ‘Wish Campaign’ has already started to generate lots of interest as she assists the Foundation in bringing smiles to the faces of our medically challenged children across Barbados. Regina has recently set up an account at First Caribbean International Bank, Broad Street to facilitate donations from the public to make PRECIOUS WISHES COME TRUE. I Wish To Have A Laptop – Shaquille Griffith – 14 Years Old
Precious Touch Foundation Inc. continues to bring smiles to the faces of children diagnosed with life-threatening medical illnesses. On June 8, 2013, Shaquille Griffith (Age 14 years) got his wish turned into reality when the Precious Touch Foundation Inc. team and Regina Ramjit (Miss Barbados World 2013 delegate) visited his home to present his Laptop. This special wish was made possible with the kind assistance from Dacosta Mannings Limited, who presented the Laptop to the Foundation on June 4, 2013, at their Warrens St. Michael Branch during the launching of their charity ‘Shop for a Cause’ and ‘a million miles for Smiles’ campaign. Shaquille was overwhelmed with emotions at the kind gesture of the Foundation, and after a few tearful moments being consoled by his mum Shauna Griffith, he softly thanked the Foundation and Regina for his wonderful wish. The presentation was attended by directors and volunteers of the Foundation.
I Wish To Have A Kindle Fire HD – Faheema Manjra – 11 Years Old
Precious Touch Foundation Inc. has turned another child’s wish into reality. On Thursday, May 30, 2013, a beautiful little girl, Faheema Manjra was presented with a Kindle Fire HD at her home by Miss Barbados World 2013 delegate Regina Ramjit. This special occasion was witnessed by Faheema’s family, directors, and volunteers of the Foundation along with Regina’s mum Miss Ruth Ramjit. Attractively attired, Faheema’s presence cast a shadow of elegance across the room as she entered to receive her Kindle Fire HD. Like most little children would, she wasted no time in exploring the many features of her precious gift much to the delight of everyone in the room. With a bright smile, Faheema expressed her gratitude and sincere thanks to everyone for making her wish come true. Sadly Faheema Manjra passed away on July 16, 2013.
I Wish To Have A Laptop – Donovan Prentice – 15 Years Old
Precious Touch Foundation Inc. made another child’s wish come true. Donovan Prentice, a student of Parkinson Secondary School got his precious wish of a Laptop computer granted on May 18, 2013, at his home. Donovan’s wish was made possible with the kind assistance of The Maria Holder Memorial Trust who donated the Laptop. The presentation was made to President Adorial Maxwell-Hazell at the Maria Holder Memorial Trust office by Executive Secretary Miss Judith Mascoll. The HP Laptop was then presented to Donovan by Director & Minister for the Foundation Mr. Cameron Connolly. With a shy smile, Donovan expressed his gratitude and sincere thanks to the Foundation and the management of the Maria Holder Memorial Trust for his Laptop and said he intends to share it with his twin brother. This special occasion was witnessed by Donovan mum Shauna Prentice, his brother, and step-father. Present were Precious Touch Foundation Inc. directors along with Miss Judith Mascoll. To enhance Donovan’s wish, he was also presented with a Scholarship Award by Mr. Troy Weekes Founder of EZLearner. This award will allow him the opportunity to keep updated with his school work, and all other educational details which would be beneficial to his academic progress. Unfortunately, Donavan passed away on October 2, 2014
I Wish To Have A Laptop – Shanai Henry – 11 Years Old
Precious Touch Foundation Inc. in partnership with Guardian General Insurance Limited has turned another child’s wish into reality. Shanai Henry (Age 11 years), a student of A. Dacosta Edwards Primary School got her precious wish of a laptop computer granted on April 27, 2013, at her home. This Dell Inspiron 14 Laptop was donated by GGIL on Friday, April 13, 2013, and was presented to Shanai by Vice-President of the Foundation St. Auban Callender. This special occasion was witnessed by Shanai’s grandmother Sonia Henry, her mum Ann-Marie Henry along with directors and volunteers of the Foundation. Shanai thanked Precious Touch Foundation Inc. for her Laptop and said that she intends to make good use of its functions to assist her in her school work. To add a special touch to her Laptop wish, Shanai was presented with a Scholarship Award by Mr. Troy Weekes, Founder of EZLearner. Mr. Weekes said that this scholarship would certainly assist Shanai with her academic skills.

What was the wish?: My wish was a labtop. Why did you choose this wish?: The labtop is to help me with my school work and to let me no what is going on around the world. What did your wish mean to you?: A dream come true. Can you tell us one of your favorite moments from this special wish?: Receiving my labtop. How are you feeling now?: I am feeling wonderful. How did you learn of Precious Touch Foundation Inc.?: I was hospitalize and then I met a wonderful lady by the name of Adorial Maxwell-Hazell and that is how I learn about the group. What do you want to tell people about Precious Touch Foundation Inc.?: I think Precious Touch Foundation is the best charity group they have around Barbados.And I can’t forget Miss Barbados World Regina Ramjit that is a member of the Foundation.
I Wish To Fly In An Airplane – Antwan Foster – 5 Years Old
Precious Touch Foundation Inc. and its sponsor Paloma Charitable Trust made little Antwan Foster’s (Age 5 years) wish come true with a week-long visit to New York on April 7, 2013, to meet relatives. He was accompanied by his mum Nadia Foster, his grandmother Mrs. Heather Vaughan and a representative from the Foundation Mrs. Harrietta Clarke. Antwan’s wish afforded him the opportunity to visit some interesting places and historic sites in New York. He also attended church service and enjoyed shopping. Antwan’s mum said that he enjoyed himself to the fullest and the trip was a lot of fun. Before leaving the Airport in a black limousine from Exquisite Limousine Services Inc., Nadia and Heather thanked the Foundation for making Antwan’s wish come true. Sadly Antwan Foster passed away on October 26, 2015.
Fun Hike & Treasure Hunt
Precious Touch Foundation Inc. had its first ‘FUN HIKE & TREASURE HUNT’ on Saturday, December 1, 2012. It started from St. John’s Parish Church car park and ended at Bath Beach, St. John. This very exciting event was organised by (Volunteer) Justin Henry with assistance from Tamara Marshall. We were privileged to be accompanied by professionally trained military personnel from the Barbados Defence Force and the Royal Barbados Police Force.
Precious Touch Foundation Inc. Wish Came Through
A SERIOUSLY –ill five-year-old boy dreams of flying in an airplane. He and other children with life-threatening medical conditions will have their wishes granted through the Precious Touch Foundation Inc., an organization set up to fulfill the special wishes of such children. The president and several directors of the Foundation recently sat down with members of CIBC Reinsurance Company Limited as the company representative, Jacqui Mahon, presented the Foundation with $20,000 to assist with the Foundation’s granting of special wishes to critically-ill children. Lawrie McGill, President, and CEO of CIBC Reinsurance noted that the company had actively sought to support the Foundation because of the tremendous work it was doing not only for children but also their families. He noted that the company’s parent, CIBC, has been involved in a similar programme in Canada for a number of years. “For 25 years CIBC has been supporting the Children’s Wish Foundation in Canada and, with CIBC Reinsurance Company located in Barbados, we thought it was important to support a similar initiative here.” Mr. McGill added, “Through this presentation, we also wish to assist with the Foundation’s efforts to raise the profile of their outreach and mission so that others can contribute and support their sterling efforts.” Founder and President of the Precious Touch Foundation, Adorial Maxwell-Hazell, expressed her organisation’s gratitude. “We are pleased that the CIBC Reinsurance has recognized us and the work that we’re doing. And we’re also pleased to say that we’ve never disappointed a child who wanted a wish to be granted.” Vice-President of the Foundation, St. Auban Callender, noted that the presentation by CIBC Reinsurance would enable the organization to confidently fulfill its commitments. In explaining the process of how children are identified for the granting of wishes, Mr. Callender said that most cases were referred to the Foundation by the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, often through the children’s ward. Cameron Connolly, Pastor and a director of the Foundation, said he felt fortunate to serve. “It’s not only about touching the lives of the children but their families also. We try to assist the family by ministering to them – spiritually, psychological and emotional. It’s a long-term relationship we build with the entire family.” This week marked the fifth anniversary of the Foundation which grants special wishes for children between the ages of 2 and 16 with life-threatening medical conditions. The Foundation is currently able to assist about three children a year, though in one year they were able to grant wishes for seven children. Precious Touch Foundation Inc. Celebrates Its 5th Anniversary
Precious Touch Foundation Inc. celebrates its 5th Anniversary on Saturday, November 24, 2012, which started with a church service at Faith New Testament Church of God on Sunday, November 18, 2012. Attending the service was the Attorney General of Barbados Adriel Brathwaite along with Directors and Volunteers. We are very happy to have reached this milestone and pray that God will grant us the strength as we continue granting wishes to children diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions between the ages of two (2) and sixteen (16) years.
