I Wish To Have A Flat Screen TV – Allan James – 7 Years Old
Chefette Restaurants Ltd. and CBC MCTV partnered with Precious Touch Foundation Inc. to make a little boy’s wish come true. While most children craved the excitement of Disney World, 7-year-old Allan James preferred to enjoy his favorite pictures in the comfort of his home cuddled in his mother’s arms, and so what better wish to ask for by a Flat Screen Television. This precious wish was donated and presented by Mr. Ryan Haloute at his Chefette Corporate Office, Harbour Road, St. Michael on October 24, 2013. To enhance the wish, making it even more special CBC MCTV assisted with a six-month cable package which was greatly appreciated by Allan and his mum Jacqueline Atkins. The presentation was witnessed by Lisa Carter – Advertising Manager, Marquest Clarke-Griffith – Marketing Manager, Jacqueline Atkins (Allan’s mum), Sean Miller (Allan’s uncle), Precious Touch Foundation Inc. representatives and CBC MCTV representatives. Following the presentation, Jacqueline expressed her sincere thanks to Precious Touch Foundation Inc., Mr. Ryan Haloute and his dedicated team and CBC MCTV representatives for making Allan’s wish a reality.
I Wish To Have A White iPad4 – Cherisse King – 15 Years Old
Precious Touch Foundation Inc. and the Guardian Group of Companies created a precious moment for 15-year-old Cherisse King on Thursday, September 5, 2013, when she was presented with her wish of a white iPad4 – 64GB with WiFi donated by Guardian General Insurance Limited and Guardian Life of the Caribbean Limited. This wonderful presentation was made by Mr. Fabian Bishop – Unit Manager, Guardian Life of the Caribbean Limited at the Enfield House, Collymore Rock offices. Attending this special occasion were Miss Margaret King (Cherisse’s mum), Miss Tracy Forde – Human Resource Officer, Mrs. Eurlinda Smith – Accountant, Guardian General Insurance Limited, Miss Shelley Miller – Integrated Marketing Communication Officer, President Adorial Maxwell-Hazell and Volunteer Ryan Wilson of Precious Touch Foundation Inc. After the presentation, some members of the Precious Touch Foundation Inc. team visited Cherisse at her home. She was very eager and excited to show off her iPad4 to Directors Shakida Belgrave and Henderson Rouse and family friend Claudine.
I Wish To Have a Birthday Party – Destiny Clarke – 14 Years Old
A day filled with excitement and loads of fun was just what Precious Touch Foundation Inc. created for a special girl. On Saturday, August 17, 2013, with assistance from the Maria Holder Memorial Trust, Destiny Clarke celebrated her 14th birthday in fine style with a party held at Sandalwoods Estate. Destiny enjoyed a funfilled evening surrounded by family members, close friends, some of her schoolmates and the Precious Touch Foundation Inc. team. Treated like a true birthday celebrity, Destiny arrived by limousine provided by Exquisite Limousine Services Inc. and was welcomed by some sweet local music played by DJ White. To bring this special occasion to a fitting and memorable end, Annie the Clown and Miss Clown sent the children home with beautifully painted faces. Quite an unforgettable wish experience for Destiny!
I Wish To Have A Laptop – Keyara Springer – 12 Years Old
On Saturday, August 10, 2013, another little girl experienced the joy and happiness of having her precious wish turn into reality. Keyara Springer (12 years old) had her wish granted when the Precious Touch Foundation Inc. team accompanied by Regina Ramjit (Miss Barbados 2013) arrived at her home to present her with a Laptop compliments On-Line Consultancies (Barbados) Ltd. The presentation was made by Regina Ramjit and witnessed by President Adorial, Vice-President St. Auban, Directors Henderson and Adrian. Also attending this special occasion were Volunteers Shannelle and Tamara along with Keyara’s mum Mesha Quintyne. With a beautiful smile, Keyara expresses sincere thanks to the Foundation for making her dream come true.
I Wish To Go To Disney World – Janica Moore – 4 Years Old
Precious Touch Foundation Inc. and its wish partner Give Kids the World created a magical experience for wish child Janica Moore. Janica (age 4) and her mum Jan Moore, accompanied by representative Henderson Rouse left Barbados on July 21, 2013, for a week-long visit to Orlando Florida where they enjoyed the usual royalty treatment. On their arrival at Give Kids the World Village, the wish family was met by members of the Barbados Association of Central Florida and Tampa Bay, and they were honored with a special reception which included the raising of our National flag. During the week, Janica, her mum Jan and Henderson were taken on tours to Disney World theme parks, Universal Studio, Magic Kingdom, Sea World and Disney Blizzard Beach Waterpark. Big smiles greeted Janica when she exited the arrival hall of the Grantley Adams International Airport on July 27th, including members of her family, the Precious Touch Foundation’s team, Regina Ramjit (Miss Barbados World 2013) and Mr. Henderson Griffith (president – Barbados Association of Central Florida and Tampa Bay).
I Wish To Have A ‘Big, Big, Big Dollhouse’ – Keona-Marie Layne – 3 Years Old
Precious Touch Foundation Inc. continues to make precious wishes come true for special children. Unlike previous wish requests from most children of a Laptop or a trip to Disney World, the Foundation was overwhelmed when a little girl asked for a wish of a ‘Big, Big, Big Dollhouse’ complete with furniture. Keona-Marie Layne (Age 3 years old) and her family were emotionally shocked when Precious Touch Foundation Inc. team turned up at their home on Saturday, July 6, 2013, transporting a huge fully furnished Dollhouse. It was indeed an awesome experience when the Dollhouse was unveiled and presented to Keona-Marie by Regina Ramjit (Miss Barbados World 2013 Delegate) Everyone stared in admiration at the beautiful Dollhouse while Keona-Marie expressed her gratitude in silence as tears of joy filled her eyes. Attending this special occasion were Keona-Marie’s mum Carla, her grandparents and the Precious Touch Foundation Inc. team of Directors and Volunteers.
I Wish To Have A Laptop – Shaquille Griffith – 14 Years Old
Precious Touch Foundation Inc. continues to bring smiles to the faces of children diagnosed with life-threatening medical illnesses. On June 8, 2013, Shaquille Griffith (Age 14 years) got his wish turned into reality when the Precious Touch Foundation Inc. team and Regina Ramjit (Miss Barbados World 2013 delegate) visited his home to present his Laptop. This special wish was made possible with the kind assistance from Dacosta Mannings Limited, who presented the Laptop to the Foundation on June 4, 2013, at their Warrens St. Michael Branch during the launching of their charity ‘Shop for a Cause’ and ‘a million miles for Smiles’ campaign. Shaquille was overwhelmed with emotions at the kind gesture of the Foundation, and after a few tearful moments being consoled by his mum Shauna Griffith, he softly thanked the Foundation and Regina for his wonderful wish. The presentation was attended by directors and volunteers of the Foundation.
I Wish To Have A Kindle Fire HD – Faheema Manjra – 11 Years Old
Precious Touch Foundation Inc. has turned another child’s wish into reality. On Thursday, May 30, 2013, a beautiful little girl, Faheema Manjra was presented with a Kindle Fire HD at her home by Miss Barbados World 2013 delegate Regina Ramjit. This special occasion was witnessed by Faheema’s family, directors, and volunteers of the Foundation along with Regina’s mum Miss Ruth Ramjit. Attractively attired, Faheema’s presence cast a shadow of elegance across the room as she entered to receive her Kindle Fire HD. Like most little children would, she wasted no time in exploring the many features of her precious gift much to the delight of everyone in the room. With a bright smile, Faheema expressed her gratitude and sincere thanks to everyone for making her wish come true. Sadly Faheema Manjra passed away on July 16, 2013.
I Wish To Have A Laptop – Donovan Prentice – 15 Years Old
Precious Touch Foundation Inc. made another child’s wish come true. Donovan Prentice, a student of Parkinson Secondary School got his precious wish of a Laptop computer granted on May 18, 2013, at his home. Donovan’s wish was made possible with the kind assistance of The Maria Holder Memorial Trust who donated the Laptop. The presentation was made to President Adorial Maxwell-Hazell at the Maria Holder Memorial Trust office by Executive Secretary Miss Judith Mascoll. The HP Laptop was then presented to Donovan by Director & Minister for the Foundation Mr. Cameron Connolly. With a shy smile, Donovan expressed his gratitude and sincere thanks to the Foundation and the management of the Maria Holder Memorial Trust for his Laptop and said he intends to share it with his twin brother. This special occasion was witnessed by Donovan mum Shauna Prentice, his brother, and step-father. Present were Precious Touch Foundation Inc. directors along with Miss Judith Mascoll. To enhance Donovan’s wish, he was also presented with a Scholarship Award by Mr. Troy Weekes Founder of EZLearner. This award will allow him the opportunity to keep updated with his school work, and all other educational details which would be beneficial to his academic progress. Unfortunately, Donavan passed away on October 2, 2014
I Wish To Have A Laptop – Shanai Henry – 11 Years Old
Precious Touch Foundation Inc. in partnership with Guardian General Insurance Limited has turned another child’s wish into reality. Shanai Henry (Age 11 years), a student of A. Dacosta Edwards Primary School got her precious wish of a laptop computer granted on April 27, 2013, at her home. This Dell Inspiron 14 Laptop was donated by GGIL on Friday, April 13, 2013, and was presented to Shanai by Vice-President of the Foundation St. Auban Callender. This special occasion was witnessed by Shanai’s grandmother Sonia Henry, her mum Ann-Marie Henry along with directors and volunteers of the Foundation. Shanai thanked Precious Touch Foundation Inc. for her Laptop and said that she intends to make good use of its functions to assist her in her school work. To add a special touch to her Laptop wish, Shanai was presented with a Scholarship Award by Mr. Troy Weekes, Founder of EZLearner. Mr. Weekes said that this scholarship would certainly assist Shanai with her academic skills.
